MP Dunleavey writes the "The Cost of Living" personal finance column for The New York Times and the award-winning "Women in Red" series for MSN Money. "Money Can Buy Happiness" was named Best Personal Finance book of 2007 at the Books for a Better Life Award ceremony.

Although her editor was reluctant to include this personal detail in the book, the truth is that while MP embraced all the basic precepts of "Money Can Buy Happiness" when she took on the project, she learned far more than she expected while writing it-and is much happier (and, yes, wealthier) as a result.
